Description
One (1) Firnbach and Raupp store receipt from September 02, 1919. Receipt recipient is Caspar Monk and has six (6) items purchased (two (2) pounds (written as 2 with a superscripted pound symbol) coffee, one (1) ???? Job, one (1) gallon (written as gal) jar, two (2) three gallon (written as gal) jugs, twenty (20) pounds (written as 20 with a superscripted pound symbol) oyster shells, and one half (1/2) dozen (written as dz) (6) corks. Caspar Monk paid three dollars and forty five cents ($3.45). Reciept is rectangular, with black printed ink, and written in pencil. The top reads: Bought of Firnbach & Raupp; DEALERS IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE (printed in capital letters); Buffalo Grove, Ill,: Sold to; Address. The bottom reads: If there are any Errors in this Bill Return it at once. The number forty two (stamped 42) is stamped in red in the bottom middle of the page.
