Description

One (1) beige, gold, blue, green, red paper postcard. On the cover is an embossed picture two houses in a field with green trees and gold decoration shrubs. On the bottom is a group of blue flowers with green leaves. Around the picture is a gold leaf design border and on the top is a square with "Kind Thoughts" printed in gold. There is a hatched border along the edge of the card.

On the back is printed: "Post Card, Made in Germany, J.W. S. 457. Written in the opposite direction of post card is a handwritten pencil note: "Dearest Anna...I received your pretty..." (?) but it is very faded in the beginning. A note in pen has also been written over the top later: "On Loan G. Gerschefske".

The pencil note continues: "and as usual have been slow in answering them. I was in Manistee last night and came back and went to a dance but failed to have a good time. We are having some beastly cold weather here, I hope its better in Chicago. I am glad to learn that you have got another raise and as I said B 4 I hope his (as you call him) Highness will keep on raising you. Regards to you and (your family) from me and (my family). and also my Love to Harry. As ever Joe."
