Three men standing on the far right of the image wearing suits and hats looking at the camera. Other women and girls are standing around wearing white dresses and straw hats with flowers. Tent has a hanging banner with stars and stripes and a hanging Cracker Jacks banner over the entrance. Superimposed text near lower edge of front: "Deer Grove Park, Palatine, ILL."
Event might have been a Fourth of July party.
reverse side has divided back and green stamp and postmarked: "Arlington Heights August 2, 17 530PM. Addressed to: "Herbert Nickol Garfield Park Hospital 3813 Washington Blvd Chicago ILL Room 4." Text: "How is Herbert Here is hoping you will be all right very soon. May come to see you next week some time. From your Aunt Mary."
