Receipt recipient is for William Lemke six (6) items purchased (one (1) unknown object, one (1) pound (written as the number one with a superscripted pound symbol), one (1) cheese, one (1) sugar, one (1) raisins and one (1) Yeast (spelled Yst) Foam. William Lemke paid three dollars and eight cents ($3.08). Reciept is rectangular, with black printed ink, and written in pencil. The top reads: Bought of Firnbach & Raupp; DEALERS IN GENERAL MERHCANDISE (printed in capital letters); Buffalo Grove, Ill,: Sold to; Address. The bottom reads: If there are any Errors in this Bill Return it at once. The number six (stamped 6) is stamped in red in the bottom middle of the page.
