Description

One sheet correspondence on American YMCA letterhead with bi-fold, writing in fading black ink on three sides and an envelope. Top left corner of the paper has YMCA color logo with “On active service with the American Expeditionary Forces” and handwritten date “September 23rd 1918" in upper center. Letter is primarily about the weather, flies, and giving a location to send letters to.

Handwritten address on the front of envelope: from Bernard Raupp [illegible] American EF, France" to "Miss Josephine Raupp Arlington Heights, Illinois USA." With US Army Post Office stamp and purple censor stamp with a handwritten "OK."
