2020: What Happened to the First Neighborhood?
It's Still Around!
Many of the homes built by Al Frank are still around on Bernard Drive, althrough they don't look the same. Many have had additions put on or cosmetic changes to the outside, making them look a little different than they did in 1959.
Just as the houses in our original suburb have changed, so has the areas around it. Remember the first picture in our exhibit of The Weidner Store and St. Mary Church? This is the view from that same spot today, facing south on Buffalo Grove Road - over 100 years later.
