Receipt recipient is William (written Wm. on the receipt), and has fourteen (14) items purchased (one (1) pound (written as a superscripted pound sign) crackers, one (1) sugar, one (1) pound (written as a superscripted pound sign) butter, one (1) unknown item, one (1) stick cinamon, one (1) 1/4 cloves , one (1) unknown item, one fourth (1/4) starch, one (1) yeast (written as Yst) Foam, one (1) one (1) pound (written as a superscripted pound sign) Olio, two (2) powder sugar (written as Powd Sug), one (1) dozen (12) quart jars and one (1) dozen (12) pint (written as pint jars). Wm. Moos paid a total of four dollars and twenty seven cents ($4.27). Receipt is rectangular, with black printed ink, and written in pencil. The top reads: BOUGHT OF (printed in capital letters and underlined) Firnbach & Raupp; DEALERS IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE (printed in capital letters); Buffalo Grove Ill,.: Sold to; Address. The bottom: If there are any Errors in this Rill Return it at once. The number eleven (stamped as 11) is stamped in red near the bottom center of the reciept.
