Buffalo Grove Days began over 60 years ago as a fun event, so that residents could stay in town and get together over Labor Day Weekend. It started with a parade and ended with fireworks that same night.

Today, the celebration lasts a little longer—Buffalo Grove Days stretched over 4 days in 2019— and while the celebration continues to transform to meet the needs of the community, the important ideas remain the same. Residents now show off their skills at the talent show and the barbeque cooking contest. Children march in the parade. Everyone meets their neighbors to try rides, race for a personal best, or eat fair food. And the night still ends with fireworks.
